Why Film star : Vin Diesel accused of sexual battery by ex-assistant

The lawsuit against Vin Diesel, filed by his former personal assistant Asta Jonasson, alleges sexual assault during the filming of “Fast Five” in 2010. Jonasson claims that Diesel pinned her to a wall in his hotel suite in Atlanta’s St Regis hotel and performed a sex act on himself, despite her clear statements of non-consent. She further alleges that she was wrongfully terminated by Diesel’s production company, One Race Films, just hours after the incident.

The lawsuit implicates Vin Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent, who runs One Race Films, and the production company itself. Jonasson claims that the termination was a result of her no longer being useful to Diesel after the alleged assault.

The suit also asserts that another executive from the company had previously propositioned Jonasson in the same hotel a few days before the incident with Diesel. The charges include sexual battery, gender discrimination, illegal retaliation, emotional distress, and wrongful termination.

Vin Diesel’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, issued a statement categorically denying the claims, stating that Diesel had never heard about this “more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly 9-day employee.”

Jonasson’s lawyer, Claire-Lise Kutlay, stated that her client seeks to hold Vin Diesel and those involved in the alleged sexual assault accountable for their actions. She hopes that Jonasson’s decision to come forward empowers other survivors and contributes to lasting change.

Vin Diesel, known for his roles in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, as well as other films like “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “XXX,” is a prominent actor and producer in Hollywood. The legal proceedings will likely garner significant attention as the case unfolds.
